Hydro Excavation
Hydro Excavation is the safest method of excavation. Utilizing high pressure water and an industrial vacuum system, it allows our crews to safely and cleanly expose underground utilities (Daylighting) and is truly the ideal excavation solution to excavate for utility pole installations (Potholing) in areas where underground utilities or other unseen hazards may be present. Having two different offerings of service class, KR Environmental is able to provide a tailored solution to meet your project's needs. Not only is this method one of the best forms of excavation to assure that underground utilities aren't accidentally struck or damaged, but it also is the safest in regards to your personnel as it greatly reduces the exposure to soft tissue injuries common to hand digging to, and around buried utilities.
Pneumatic Excavation
Similar to Hydro Excavation, Pneumatic Excavation is a very similar process to Hydro Excavation, but with the usage of compressed air as opposed to water utilized to break up dirt and material. The advantage to Pneumatic Excavation is that it allows our Operators to excavate an area without using water which allows the spoil materials to be redeposited on site for use as backfill, or to be removed and disposed of offsite. Pneumatic Excavation is quickly becoming the go-to for large cities and where there are tight environmental controls.
Matting
KR Environmental is able to provide a variety of site access solutions and wetland/environmental control techniques including:
